Postnatal Yoga

The time after birth is sacred. It’s time to connect with baby, rest, heal, and enjoy this precious time with this sweet little soul newly in your life.

Postnatal yoga is meant to nurture you as you are nurturing baby.  I teach gentle Hatha yoga to nurture your body, infuse healing, calm and balance.  Off set the fatigue, aches and pains and give back to your body mind and spirit.

In a typical practice you’ll find shoulder and heart opening which are key to our stressed upper bodies, mindful core work to restore abdominal muscles, challenge through standing poses, guided meditation, and restoring breathing techniques (Pranayama). This is truly a practice that gives back to those that give.

When is it safe to begin postnatal yoga? Six weeks postpartum, or after getting approval from your doctor.

How long am I postpartum? It can take up to two years for your body to heal after birth, I happen to believe that once a woman has given birth, she is always postpartum (It’s a mom thing). So join me anytime after six weeks.
